CrossFit “WODS” (workout of the day) are programmed Monday through Sunday at different times throughout the day. Please refer to “Calendar” for more specific times and days. For our membership monthly pricing, please also refer to the “Pricing” page.
CrossFit is the Sport of Fitness. CrossFit is a style of training that incorporates a broad spectrum of fitness modalities including gymnastics, Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, running, rowing, and a variety of other conditioning tools. These tools will then increase the 10 components of complete physical fitness: strength, stamina, endurance, flexibility, power, speed, balance, coordination, agility, and accuracy. CrossFit has been officially tested and proven more effective and safer than traditional physical training models.
A Crossfit class will feature a different WOD each day taught by a Crossfit Certified Trainer. Classes will begin with a group warm up and some dynamic stretches. After the warm up, clients will work on core and gymnastics strength, technical skills or techniques that will be performed during the WOD. After the trainers go over the movement standards and explain the WOD, its 3, 2, 1, go! The workouts are intense but are always scaled to fit the client’s physical abilities. All clients are pushed to their maximal performance capabilities. After the workout there is a cool down and a stretch. Classes are a group setting and member/client support is highly encouraged. The class duration is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
